This figures, mixture of traditional art with contemporary design represent a pair of farmers in the Peruvian highlands. Hand-carved in cedar wood (both figure and base). The male farmer holds a Varayok baton, used since the time of the Incas. As for the clothing, both husband & wife wear mantles of Aguallo which shelters them from the harsh winter. Over their Aguallo ponchos they have a Yikllia, used mostly by women with the primary purpose of load and carry their newborn everywhere.
